UKAI Research Symposium: A Festival Of Ideas

UKAIRS, organised by UKRI, RAi UK and the AI Hubs hopes to welcome you to Northumbria University, for a festival of ideas, this September.

UKAIRS will provide a platform for UK AI researchers to showcase their latest research and discuss emerging challenges with the research community and with stakeholders from industry, government, and civil society. UKAIRS will embrace research discipline diversity and highlight the strength, breadth and depth of UK research in AI; from technical developments to innovative deployment and applications, through to shaping and influencing policy and regulation. We will celebrate work from all corners of the AI research community and invite colleagues to join us in delivering a programme that demonstrates why the UK is at the forefront of AI research.

Call for contributions

As this is the first edition of the symposium (with a full conference to follow in 2026), and to help manage demand, contributions are only invited from researchers, students, and practitioners directly funded by a UKRI project or programme (including pump-priming projects and impact accelerator awards) in the last 3 years (June 2022).  We particularly encourage contributions from early career researchers.  Contributions can be papers already published at other venues, provocations, demos, posters, and abstracts.
